Vici Properties Inc. is an American real estate investment trust specializing in casino and entertainment properties, based in New York City. It owns 61 casinos, hotels and racetracks, four golf courses and 38 bowling alleys in the United States and Canada, including Caesars Palace, the Venetian and the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
Vici was formed as part of the bankruptcy reorganization of Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, and its spinoff to that company's creditors was completed on October 6, 2017. Its name comes from the phrase Veni, vidi, vici, commonly attributed to Julius Caesar; vici is Latin for I conquered. Vici completed its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in February 2018, raising $1.2 billion, and it trades as VICI. The company moved its headquarters from the Las Vegas area to New York City in 2018. In 2022 it bought the real estate of the Venetian complex for $4 billion and acquired MGM Growth Properties for $17.2 billion, which made it the largest landowner on the Las Vegas Strip.
