Leidos Holdings, Inc. is an American defense, aviation, information technology and biomedical research company headquartered in Reston, Virginia. It provides scientific, engineering, systems integration and technical services, and works extensively with the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Intelligence Community and other United States government agencies.

The company was founded by J. Robert Beyster in 1969 in La Jolla, San Diego, as Science Applications Incorporated, and it was later renamed Science Applications International Corporation, or SAIC. After SAIC announced in 2012 that it would split into two public companies, the larger company changed its name to Leidos in 2013, a name created by clipping the word kaleidoscope, and moved its headquarters to Reston, while the smaller company took the SAIC name. In August 2016 Leidos completed its merger with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems and Global Solutions business, and in January 2020 it bought the defense contractor Dynetics. The logo is the word leidos in purple lowercase letters beside a purple angular symbol.
