Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, known as HPE, is an American multinational information technology company based in Spring, Texas. It sells servers, storage, networking, AI systems, software, and consulting and support services to businesses.
HPE was created on November 1, 2015, when the Hewlett-Packard Company split in two: the original company changed its name to HP Inc. and kept the personal computer and printing business, while Hewlett Packard Enterprise was spun off as a new company with its own ticker symbol, HPE. In 2017 HPE combined its Enterprise Services business with Computer Sciences Corporation to form DXC Technology and merged its software business with Micro Focus. The company announced the move of its headquarters to Texas in December 2020, and on July 2, 2025 it completed its $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks. HPE marked its tenth anniversary with a new brand on June 12, 2025. The current logo is the letters HPE in bold black capitals, with the final E drawn in HPE green around the green rectangle that the company calls the Element. HPE is a separate company from HP Inc., which uses the HP logo.
