Pentair plc is a water treatment company with its main United States office in Golden Valley, Minnesota. It is incorporated in Ireland and has its tax residence in the United Kingdom, and it makes products for residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, infrastructure and agricultural water uses, including pool equipment, pumps and filtration systems.

Pentair was founded in August 1966 as Pentair Industries, Inc. by five former Litton Industries employees; the name combines penta, for the five founders, with air, for the company's first product, high altitude research balloons. The company went on to make paper, power tools and electrical enclosures before turning to water. It bought Fleck Controls in 1995, Essef in 1999 and WICOR Industries in 2004, and sold its tools business to Black & Decker in 2004. In 2012 it combined with the flow control business of Tyco International, and in April 2018 it completed the separation of its electrical business as nVent. In July 2022 it acquired Manitowoc Ice for $1.6 billion. The logo is a navy and green arrow shaped symbol beside the name PENTAIR in navy capital letters.
