Vertiv Holdings Co. is an American provider of power, cooling and other critical infrastructure and services for data centers, communication networks and commercial and industrial environments. It is headquartered in Westerville, Ohio.
Vertiv traces its roots to Capitol Refrigeration Industries, established by Ralph Liebert in 1946, and to the Liebert Corporation, formed in 1965 as the first maker of computer room air conditioning systems. Emerson Electric acquired Liebert in 1987 and later grouped it into its Emerson Network Power unit. In December 2016 Platinum Equity bought Emerson Network Power and rebranded it as Vertiv, which became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange on February 10, 2020, and joined the S&P 500 index in March 2026. The logo pairs a white V shape in a dark gray circle with the VERTIV wordmark in dark gray capital letters.
