Investor AB is a Swedish investment and holding company based in Stockholm, and the investment arm of the Wallenberg family. It is Sweden's most valuable publicly traded company and holds major or controlling stakes in several of Sweden's other largest companies.
Investor AB was established in 1916, when new Swedish legislation made it harder for banks to own stocks in industrial companies over the long term, and the shareholdings of the Wallenberg family bank, Stockholms Enskilda Bank, were moved to the new holding company. Its listed holdings include ABB, AstraZeneca, Atlas Copco, Epiroc, Ericsson, Nasdaq, Saab, SEB and Wärtsilä, it owns most of Patricia Industries, which invests in wholly owned companies, and it was one of the founders of EQT in 1994. Its chair is Jacob Wallenberg, a member of the family, and its chief executive is Christian Cederholm. The logo is the word investor in dark blue lowercase letters.
