Discord is an American messaging and voice platform where people talk in invite based communities called servers. As of 2025 it reported 200 million monthly active users.

The logo centers on Clyde, a game controller shaped face. In May 2021 Discord redrew Clyde, made its palette more saturated and changed its slogan to imagine a place. Discord’s official branding page publishes its colors.

Logo history

• May 2015: Discord launches.
• May 2021: Clyde and the wordmark are redrawn for the sixth anniversary, with a more saturated palette.

This timeline lists only changes that a cited source confirms. Earlier or minor variants of the Discord mark that could not be dated from a primary or reputable source are left out rather than guessed.

Logo colors

The Discord palette in this draft has 3 recorded values. Blurple is #5865F2, which is RGB 88, 101, 242. Light Blurple is #E0E3FF, which is RGB 224, 227, 255. Black is #000000, which is RGB 0, 0, 0. Where a value comes from a redrawn vector rather than the owner’s own guide, check it against official files before using it in design work.

Design context and usage rules

Discord’s branding page allows the logo in color, black or white and says the symbol alone should be used only where the brand is already clear. It asks users not to edit, distort, recolor or reconfigure the logo. Its legal section says DISCORD and the Clyde logo are Discord’s property and that permission is needed beyond the uses it allows.
