Inter Miami CF, in full Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, is a professional soccer club in Major League Soccer. MLS approved the expansion team on January 29, 2018, and co-owner David Beckham drew worldwide attention from the start. David Beckham approached the New York studio Doubleday and Cartwright, which developed the strategy, naming, crest, typography, color palette and full visual identity. The club’s announcement says the name celebrates Miami as a global city, and the identity launched with a digital takeover across South Florida, including murals of the crest in Wynwood and Brickell.
