GE Vernova was formed in the 2024 breakup of General Electric. On November 9, 2021, General Electric announced that it would split into three publicly traded companies, later named GE HealthCare, GE Aerospace and GE Vernova. After GE HealthCare was spun off in January 2023, the energy businesses were spun off in April 2024 as GE Vernova, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker GEV.
